En garde—Ready—FENCE! The LHS-VHHS Thundercats Fencing Team brings you a 4-day Introduction to Fencing Camp for high school and middle school fencers. Experienced high school fencers are welcome to join for extra practice time.
This camp allows new fencers to try different weapons: saber, epee, and foil. Our goals are to introduce fencers to basic footwork and fencing skills and to understand the basics of fencing bouts and scoring. This camp also allows high school-age fencers to preview the sport before winter competition and practice season.
Instructors:
Coach Grant Carlton and Thundercats team alumni and upperclassman fencing team members.
What to Bring:
The team will loan equipment for new fencers without equipment. If you have fencing equipment, please bring it to camp. Dress in a T-shirt, track pants, and flexible sneakers, and bring a water bottle and a sweat towel.
(Please no food in the field house.)

Summer Camp Fee:
- Early bird special! $115 for registrations before May 24th.
- $140 per student (includes protective fencing gear).
- Fees are not refundable after June 1st.
